About Me

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, advised by Dr. John H. L. Hansen at the Center for Robust Speech Systems. My research focuses on speech systems that can recognize and evaluate speaker state, paralinguistic cues, and perceptual uncertainty in naturalistic speech.

Research Experience

2023 โ€” Present
Ph.D. Researcher
Center for Robust Speech Systems, University of Texas at Dallas
Advised by Dr. John H. L. Hansen. My research develops speech foundation model methods for understanding how people speak beyond words, including emotion, vocal effort, physical stress, and other speaker-state cues in naturalistic speech.
